Jason's Bio:

Jason Mabry and his wife Christina moved here from  Arlington, Texas.  He was born in Houston, Texas and spent much of his life living in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Jason holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently serving as teaching pastor for Southside City Church in Fort Worth, Texas.  Jason received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration (Economics) from Oklahoma State University and was planning a ministry in Christian legal defense when God steered his heart toward pastoral care in a local church.  Brother Mabry’s two-part vision for ministry is “first to see the Church of Jesus Christ develop a deep understanding of Scripture which stirs its affections for Him.  The second is to see this stirring result in an outpouring of selfless compassionate evangelism, both locally and globally.”  Jason has spent significant time doing missions projects both domestically and abroad.  He served as a short-term English teacher for an International Missions Board project in Xilinhot, China as well as serving in a mission capacity in Timisoara, Romania.  Jason has also served in a variety of venues and capacities mentoring youth groups and other members of the Body of Christ.  Mabry, age 35, is an avid reader and among his hobbies are sports (favorite teams: Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Rangers) and classic cars.  Jason’s delightful bride Chrissy helps to serve as his help mate at our church. She is a devoted and mission-minded Christian and a partner in Jason’s ministry.  Chrissy was born in Colorado, moved to Oneida, NY and spent her childhood there.  In middle school she moved to Mombasa Kenya.  She went to school at a Christian boarding school in Kijabe Kenya called Rift Valley Academy.  A talented photographer, Chrissy received a bachelors degree from Brooks Institute of Photography in Photo Journalism.  The two were joined in marriage in 2012.
